I went back to the neurologist. After 1.5 months after stopping treatment with Pamelor, I got some really bad headaches. I told him I didn't want to go back on Pamelor or any other meds. He recommended I use ice packs on my neck, 5 minutes on then 5 minutes off. I'm supposed to do this 12 times, once in the morning and once in the evening whethere I have pain or not. I've been able to ice my neck in the evening, but getting up earlier in the a.m. is tough. It's too soon to tell if this is working, but I'm optimistic. I get headaches 3 or 4 times per week, but I've been headache-free since last Friday. I did get a tiny headache tonight while walking--I often do--but it didn't last as long as it always does.
I'll keep you guys posted.

I hope it works, good luck!

I've been faithfully icing my neck every night. Doing the same in the morning is not as easy. I did get less headaches these past 2 weeks.
