Title: OHSU Tinnitus Clinic
Post by: Sue on April 23, 2006, 05:00:15 pm
I just looked this up on the computer. I've heard that they had a good Tinnitus Clinic here in Portland.  Maybe this might be of interest to somebody on this forum.

hi,  i'm encouraged to read this.  i live in vancouver most of the time, and am 18 months post-surgery.  i've assumed that after the middle-fossa approach, some parts of the hearing physiology have been removed, so there's no use wasting my time at a tinnitus clinic.  however, i wasn't entirely lucid during pre-surgery consults, so my assumption might be off base.  do you happen to know the facts about this?

i will definitely contact ohsu when i get back into town.  thank you so much for writing this up.

i've just received news of a support group in the portland area.  have you been part of that group?  if so, what's it like?

Hi
I have a notice of a support group at St. Vincents Hospital, but I hadn't really planned on going that far.  As far as the tinnitus, I thought maybe there were some ideas to help deal with it, like the pillow. Mine seemed loud last night and I was wondering if that pillow would have helped me. Or something. I turn on the fan in the bathroom, but my husband thinks I'm going to blow out the motor!  Already wrecked a regular fan!
