Hi All -
I ran across this story a week after I scheduled my surgery: Tom Newton's Story - Ready for the challenge of my recovery.http://www.anarchive.org/tnewton.htm It is a long story well written. The second to the last paragraph says it all.
I questioned my choice of treatment until I read this. I never found any other posts and have always wondered how he is. I owe my piece of mind going into surgery to him.
Just thought you might like to read it.

Kathi..any idea how well the outcome was?

No idea. By the time I read the post it was March 2004 and his email address was no good. Darn it.ÂÂ
Anyone here know Tom Newton? How long has this board been around?

I don't have an email address for you, but I did hear from Newton last year. We are both from Ohio and had surgery at HEI...he emailed me after he saw my story. And he is doing very well it seems, with no major complications. He works on movie sets (with lighting--he had just finished working on "Ladder 49" when I heard from him) and is still located in L.A., but I don't know anything else. It's great to see stories that inspire and comfort AN patients. I'm glad you found meaning in his!
**New Info: I just searched this forum for "Newton" and got tihs email...annewttom@aol.com. I think this is the person you are looking for :). ÂÂ

Lisa:
I just sent Tom a short note asking if he is the "one". I will let you know when I get a reply.
Thank you very much for your reply (and for taking the time to find his email address). I am so grateful.
