Title: Surgical killer headache
Post by: yardtick on January 14, 2011, 07:35:09 pm
Yesterday I had a Blue Nevi surgically removed from the side of my head (scalp).  Of course it is the same side I had my tumour debulked and the same side all the headaches, head pain and facial pain occur.  Talk about a killer headache today.  I am in bed, resting as much as I can because it hurts too much to move.  At least this killer headache will be short lived......hopefully :'(

I do hope so, ANneMarie.   Nothing worse than a killer headache, but a short one certainly is the best!

What was that you had removed?   I don't know what it is and how it got there?

Thanks Mei Mei for the link.

Sounded like some sort of device Anne Marie had removed, but alas a skin growth :'(

I hope you feel better today, Anne Marie. Hang tough. It is ALWAYS something.

Sure, Moe...I love sharing links ... I like clearing up my understanding and passing it along.
How is your BAHA working out?   Should be time to connect and turn it on pretty soon.   It's exciting.

Annemarie,   How are you feeling today?   Do you have to change the dressing?   I hope you have someone there to help you with the dressing and the stitches.   Do they biopsy the Blue Nevi?   I'm sure it's OK and you'll be fine in no time.   Stay ahead of the headache!

I thought this was a Blue Nevi:

Removing that from your head would certainly be PAINFUL!!!!!

But that's a Blue Na'vi!! Glad Mei Mei cleared things up for me!!!

Here's a Blue Nevi:

Anne Marie ~

I'm so sorry to learn that you're suffering with a post-surgical' killer' headache.  You'll be in my prayers (and those of many others, I'm sure).  I hope this headache struggle passes quickly for you.

Glad to see all your Blue Creatures, Deb and equally as happy that they weren't on Anne Marie's head. Yuck, creepy crawlers...blast them out of sight!.
Feel better, Anne Marie!

I was slow today, but I did manage to do a few loads of laundry and I made lentil soup for dinner.  I needed some comfort food. Actually there is no dressing the Dr put a lot of goop on it, almost like a gel.  I worked up a sweat pureeing the soup and the incision is now very itchy and stinging.  I'm going to get my husband clean it and apply some polysporin.  I'm dying to wash my hair.  Everyone remembers what that feels like!  I'm not taking as many pain killers so that is progress.

Thank you for all of your kind words,
Anne Marie

PS Capt Deb thanks for the laugh  :-*  Actually when I looked in the specimen jar, the Blue Nevi kind of looked like the blue creature you created.  He was waving at me  ;D
