Saw eye surgeon today re my diplopia I was told I'm to have botox injection in my eyeball to see if my eye stays level with my good eye if it does they will operate, if it doesn't and starts to drop down again I won't be able to have anything done. Anyone else had this problem.

Hi Pam,
Poor you, that sounds a bit unpleasant. Is the actual eye op dependant on this?
Thanks for your PM. I've had broadband problems for a few days. I'm feeling less weak and sore thanks, but pre treatment symptoms are much the same but a bit more wobly and tinnitus louder on and off. But it's only two weeks!
Hope your eye improves,
Alison

PS I meant to say, would another surgeon give a different opinion if the botox fails?

Hi Alison I'll see what happens with the botox but the surgeon who took my tumour out said if I'm not happy with my local surgeon I can go back to him in London. Yes if the botox doesn't hold my eye level then there's no use having the op because it will start off straight then drop again. It is early days with you so hopefully things will settle down for you.
