Hi there! Anyone had Gamma Knife treatment at Johns Hopkins or the Sloan Kettering (NYC)? Thanks.

I had mine at the University of Virginia in 2003 (Dr. Steiner)....for a 1.8cm tumor...

Hi effiya....so your FSR didn't work and now you are looking at GK?

Yes, Phyll. I think my FSR failed. The tumor cells should have been dead and tumor shrunk by now. Even though they claim that the tumor is not growing, it is pressing on my brainstem and causing me all kinds of problems. It is too big.

im new here and im from montreal, you are the closest person to me on this board so far.
Sorry to hear that you will have to have another treatment....
Im sure you will get a lot of info here.
Im leaning towards GK as well right now.
