Title: Wet eye
Post by: tamim.horizon on June 04, 2013, 05:29:30 am
Hi

I am Tamim from Sydney. I had my tarsotherapy on 3rd of May, 2013. I haven't got significant difference in previous 4 weeks. But for last couple of days my affected eye became too wet. I am thinking not to use any Lubricant from tomorrow. But I am feeling same irritation while working on PC. Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks
Tamim

What kind of lubricant are you using?

Right now I am using Lacrilube ointment at night before go to bed and in daytime I am using Celluvisc that is Carellose Sodium.
I use it 3/4 times a day.

Well, if you feel irritation your cornea is probably too dry so you do need the lubrication. Maybe try switching between gel drops and ointment. Have you talked to your doctor about it?

My other suggestion is to look into a scleral contact lens. It creates a moisture pocket on your eye, eliminating the need for other lubrication while you are wearing it.

Thanks Sara. I have talked to my Doc and he suggested to use the lubricant when I will need it. Not too frequent. I will check about the scleral lense. That really sounds good. Thanks you very much for your suggestion.
