Home. Yay! Slight vertigo and taking steriods and valium. Having also double vision. They say hope will resolve. Anyone else experience this? For how hong? Using a walker but getting around the house okay. Hearing diminished but not totally gone.

Hey Beth! Congrats! Been wondering how you were doing. I had a double-vision for a few months. I wear glasses and the O/T had me tape about 2/3ds of the lens on the tumor side, to train my eye. Ultimately, the opthalmalogist used a plastic prism lens instead of tape. The double-vision is not atypical and it may not last long at all.

Best, be good to yourself.

Thank-you Tod. That is very reassuring.

Hi Beth .....

Adding to Tod's reassurance ..... I, as well, had double vision after my first surgery (retrosigmoid).  I had a lot of nystagmus (rapid involuntary movements of the eyes) before surgery and that persisted afterwards for a couple of months.  The double vision only lasted a couple of weeks.  Reading was very tiring for many months, but I was able to do it in shorter periods.

Your recovery sounds very similar to mine and I am fine now.

Many thoughts and prayers.

Clarice

Fantastic. I hope you are doing very well after all this time.

The surgeons I spoke with advised me against Retrosigmoid since I'm heavy-set. Plus the headache factor.

Best wishes.
