Hi All
I have been 11 years post surgery and i have noticed that a bunch of my old lifestyle habits still keep changing. I cannot tolerate alcohol anymore. Max of 1 glass and then i feel so drunk. Last week i had 2 glasses and the next day i had headache and a foggy brain. Is that only me? Or it is common?

I’ve actually been experiencing a similar problem that has led my to cut out alcohol entirely. Usually, I end up with a low grade headache within 2 hours.

Same same same!! I used to be able to go out with a friend and share 2 bottles of wine (can i admit that?). Now, i pour a glass but over a full cup of ice and thats it for the evening. Any more and the headache arrives.
I remind myself, good for the calorie count!

I'm quite relieved to report not having that effect. Dessert = berries, a couple squares of chocolate, and a glass of wine.

I love wine but do not have good alcohol tolerance. I have learned to limit consumption to wines with a lower alcohol content. Unfortunately, alcohol even in lower amounts makes my tinnitus more noticeable. Any one else notice this?

Absolutely! Alcohol always ramps up my tinnitus.

Same here. I'm also not allowed to drink anymore. It's a tough journey, but reading about others' experiences can be really encouraging. If anyone has gone through similar situations or has tips on coping and staying on track, I'd appreciate your insights and support

How are you doing these days? Hope you're doing well! I stopped drinking alcohol two years ago, and honestly, I feel like a completely different person. My energy levels have skyrocketed, my mind feels clearer, and overall, I just feel so much healthier. It’s incredible how much of a difference cutting out alcohol can make—not just physically, but mentally too. Since making that change, I’ve been able to focus more on things that truly matter to me, like staying active and enjoying hobbies I once neglected. With the help of https://ukwritings.com/write-my-essay (https://ukwritings.com/write-my-essay), I’ve also managed to free up even more time for myself. Now, I can do sports every day, explore new interests, and just live life without constantly feeling drained or stressed. It’s been such a rewarding journey, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything
