Thanks for posting, the more information I gather the more confused I get about whether having SRS makes sense or not. This article scares me.

I would think it would depend on whether your vestibular nerve is still functional before radiation.  If it's not, or has been removed already during surgery, then there shouldn't to be any vestibular side effects.

I have never had balance issues (not that I am aware of )  before or after CK. So I guess my nerve functional. I can stand on one leg either side for around 4/5 mins. Am 63. I power walk daily at speed.

Like Michele I have never had a balance issue.  I have had a few wobbly moments and the day of CK I had a moment when I stood up and decided to sit back down. My wobbly moments could relate to my heart issues which were address this spring. The heart doc asked about balance issues and I said if I had any how would you know if they were VS or OHS related.

I do not know enough about your situation to say if SRS makes sense.  When I went through my decision journey I put together a decision matrix to help me evaluate my options of surgery or radiation. .  If you want a copy please email me at Dan4att@gmail.com and I will send it.

Good luck on your journey,

Dan
