Morning, took me awhile to get on here but here I am. 62 yr old and noticed a significant hearing loss left side Apr 24. Consulted primary and he referred me to the ENT.
5 mos wait later and ENT +audiogram verified sig threshold loss on left side and MRI ordered.
MRI early Oct'24 indicated 1.8cm x 1.0cm left AN extending through porous acousticus.
Mass EYE & Ear appt 1 Nov recommended initial Watch/Wait with repeat MRI 1Apr '25.
Balance issues have only grown steadily worse. Unsteady starting up stairs
Tinnitus seems to grow louder and longer each week.
Reach back to DR at Mass Gen and neurosurgeon appt now 16 Jan "25 with a Dr Barker.

Matt3m, I am sorry you are here but welcome. You will find this group is a great resource. Let us know how the MRI goes. I was just about a year younger then you when I found my VS. I went with radiation but this group provided great insight in the decision process. Good luck on your journey.
