Please do not think I am crazy. It now has happened three times. It does not happen every day. In my tinnitus ear the solid sound is still there but I have hear music playing in the back ground. This is in the middle of the night. The music sounds like swing music from the 50's. I do not listen to this music. I am just wondering if anyone else has had something like this.
Thanks for your comments,
Dan

Hi Dan yes I have had acoustic and olfactory hallucinations from time to time: I would hear footsteps or my name which would wake me up -this happened a lot after treatment but looking back also on and off before. Then olfactory the smell of cigarette smoke at night which really bugs me and seemed worse after COVID. These do not happen a lot now though I would say its more when I am under stress maybe or very tired. Its like old memories maybe (my mother was a chain smoker.) I also had visual hallucinations when I was younger especially of children -once was woken by a little boy standing next to my bed which I thought was my toddler but he was sleeping next to me at the time. None were scary at least!
The brain is complex for sure. Since I bought my BP monitor (love it) and I track my stress and heart rate and BP past weeks -no more nerve pain, no weird stuff going on. So maybe some of it is stress related. I am interested to see what my MRI and audiology report reveals this year.

Thanks Michelle,
It is interesting you mentioned blood pressure. Since my surgery I have tracked it closely. I have been dropping medicines since my OHS. However, recently my BP has been inching up. I wonder if that could be the cause. It is definitely not stress as being retired I have discovered is fun. My Cardiologist has not put me back on a beta blocker but I'm thinking I may end up back on one.
I hope you had a great holiday.

Hi Dan I am just so impressed with my BP monitor (if in Australia HBF has a geerous rebate and I saved $80 buy buying on boxing day sale promo) anyways its the Omron HEM-7600T Smart Elite. It really good and links to phone app. My husband and I share it though it records our individual rates. I first use a simple finger oximeter and see oxygen and heart rate. I do gentle breathing to get heart rate to 65 then I test. My BP today was 119/71 - am so pleased! Also retired - abt to turn 64 ugh.

Thanks Michelle,
It is an Omron but no connectivity. I may look at an upgrade, thanks for the advice. Since I have the valve replace and stopped the drugs i have not been close to your BP numbers. However, let me welcome you to the 64 club. I joined in in December.

Hi Dan on my Rapamycin longevity forum we are chatting about BP monitors and though I cant get tghis myself the Canadian Aktiia cuffless one was getting good reviews. (good forum btw many academics on there -I am just there to learn).

Never had something like that, but I really hope you figure out what it is and how to get rid of it. Stress can be such a tricky thing to deal with. I've definitely noticed how much of a negative impact stress can have on my health, too. That's why these days, I'm making it a priority to use https://academized.com services more often for my college tasks. It’s been really helpful so far, and I’m hoping it’ll take some of the pressure off, allowing me to focus on my well-being. Let's see how it goes, but I’m feeling optimistic

Just wanted to update, it has disappeared and I am glad it is gone.

I must be crazy too, I’ve heard music a few times. I also get “pings” occasionally, from the aliens I guess…

Karin,
thanks for sharing, I am glad I am not the only one. I hope it disappears for you too.
Take Care,
Dan
