Title: Can you have surgery at House Ear Institute if you are on Medicare
Post by: john twoffer on January 22, 2007, 10:18:58 am
Can you have surgery at House Ear Institute if you are on Medicare? If not, where can you go for surgery? Where's the best place for surgery that accepts Medicare. I do have a Medicare supplement by the way. Thanks.

Hi John,

A little lost by your request of "Could somebody else call and ask?"

You want someone else to call HEI on your behalf or looking for us to call on your behalf or  ???

Can you please clarify?

Thanks.

Because of embarrassment, don't want to call and give my name or anything. I thought somebody would know. Also, I'm afraid they might cross me off if they find out I have Medicare and supplement.

John,

Don't you dare be embarrassed!  :)

This is YOUR health and YOU have coverage and yes, some places may take it, some may not, but don't you dare feel embarrassed!

HEI is affiated with a major acute care facility (St. Vincent's Hospital), so... if by that affiliation (since, I have to think St. Vincent's takes Medicare), then all you can do is ask HEI.  And if they don't take it, you contact me personally.... I'll help.

You make that call first and let me/us know what they say.  You have coverage, never forget that and don't you dare feel embarrassed. Your health and well-being come first.. never forget that! :)

Hang in there!
