...just waiting for the rollercoaster to come to a complete stop. The surgery was about 4 1/2 hrs., and they got the whole darn thing. The tumor was benign (that's one worry off) and my face is continuing to operate without any sluggishness. It appears that my left ear is deaf from the outside, but I do still hear from vibrations inside; hopefully, that condition will improve. If not, oh well. Spent 2 nights in ICU, now I'm home. How cool is that?
Thanks for all the prayers and support. I'll be posting off and on; take care everybody.

Glad to hear that things are working out well for you.
Don't rush things, get plenty of rest.
2 days and then home is great. Laying in the bed with the lumbar drain for 4 days was the worst part of my whole stay, other than the food. ;D
Anyway, keep us posted when you feel up to it.

WAY TO GO EGGROLL!!! I think you have the record!!! And you write like you are not on drugs!!! Take it real easy, rest when you want and don't worry, the coaster does come to a stop. Welcome back Postie, Kathy

Sounds like you went to a spa instead of having brain surgery! Hope each day gets easier for you!

Welcome to the other side! Rest and take care of yourself. ;D

Great news Steve!
I know about lumbar drains...I had one for three and a half days. I must say that the food at Westchester Medical Center was great. So were the food service workers. They actually were very responsive caring and took pride in their jobs.
All good news...keep it coming.

Hey, Steve:
Way to go!
Congratulations on what seems to be a super-successful AN surgery! It's so encouraging - for 'newbies', especially - to read about these. Now, take it easy, let your body heal and you'll likely be pretty much back to normal in no time.
