Title: What shape was your AN?
Post by: Kate B on April 04, 2008, 05:12:19 am: In another thread, Lisa B. and Glenda mentioned their AN was the shape of a lima bean.

Mine was the shape of an ice cream cone.(although I like ice cream, this surely wasn't one of my top 33 flavors:-)

I guess it was more like someone said in the "Name your AN" posts - just a blob ::)

as that's the bit that's in my IAC - I didn't realise there was such a variation is shape....
funny how we mostly relate the shape to food though :D
Is there some Freudian/psycho. meaning to this I wonder...? ;D

You mean the ones that are shaped like an ice cream cone, or the ones that are shaped like a hot dog? :)

Post by: LADavid on April 05, 2008, 12:11:14 am: Please tell me these shapes you saw were from your MRIs and not post extraction. I glanced at my MRI and saw it was there. The surgeons told me that it was out. I really didn't need to see the thing.

My MRI BTW, showed an ugly mess that needed to be gone. It's gone and that's all I need to know. I'm assuming it has long been disposed of in some lab. It really wasn't a friend of mine.

Eww. I certainly hope they were MRI pictures. Even I don't want to see one lying on a tray.

I just HAVE to say how thrilled I am to find this site. The sense of humor is alive and well here. I LOVE it!!!! Boy, it helps me. Facing all the info is daunting at best so the hotdog shaped microphone type response truly had me laughing out loud! Mine was a blob, a big yukky blob, it wasn't round, more oval shaped like an egg I guess, oh no, here we go relating to food again, whats wrong with us? are we all just really hungry, reading all these responses is certianly begining to make me feel that way!!!! :P

Now I am going to have to go dig out my MRI films and figure this one out. If I remember, it just looked kind of roundish and FOREIGN in there. The Dr.'s just told my family it was the size (& I guess) shape of a man's fist...don't want to eat that!!!
