I take Toprol XL which is a form of inderal.   Mine is for blood pressure though.    I do have only a occ migraine.     The type where I am blind a bit and then those zigzag flashing lights for 1/2 hour or so and then is over.    Maybe will get some small headache.        I think I have had less since taking it.                      I have read where it is used for migraines.

No, sorry, I take Midrin for mine...however, haven't had a migraine since prior to surgery - not saying it's related, just interesting...

Oh inderal.  Yes about 4 years ago I was on it for a few months with limited results.  I believe my migraines were so severe at the time not much of anything was able to help me but time. That and finding the right cocktail of Neurontin (gabapentin) and Topamax which is what I take now.

Hi cin605.  I would love to hear more about your experience w/ Inderal.  I have not been on it, but have chronic daily headaches w/ frequent migraines since my translab surgery and am desperate to find something that works.  I took Topamax last year which didn't  really help and made me feel dopey.  Then Frovatriptan for a few days, which really helped, but I guess you can only take it occasionally.  Have you been on any other migraine meds yourself?  Good luck. I hope it works for you!  Karen

This is my first experience w/ migrain med. aside from the usuall pain killers.
I am getting dailey headachs brought on by trying to act normal like going for a drive or to grocery store etc.
I am also having head tremors & brain floating feelings.
I just started med last week i think it takes awhile to kick in.I know he plans to up dosage in 8 weeks.

I took Inderal for a rapid heartbeat before I had my hyperthyroidism treated.  Never took it for headaches though.

I had the snapping rubber band thing in my AN ear for a few months after surgery too. It happened every time the phone rang or some other sudden loud noise.  It would also happen sometimes as I was falling asleep.  It did go away, thankfully!

As far as the headaches, I never had any problem with them after surgery, so can't offer any advice on that.
