Title: Possible regrowth?
Post by: mlouise073 on May 10, 2009, 11:13:29 am
I had surgery in March 07 for a tumor 8mm by 13mm and thought it was a done deal but about 3 monthes ago I started having weird symptoms again like facial numbness, fullness in ear, tenderness on crown and back of head, left ear hurts in canal, weak, left arm numbish and feels like atrophy in hand, can't use it too much, chills all the time, balance off more than usual.  I was diagnosed by my neurologist 2 monthes ago with b-12 deficiency so he started me on shots.   a few days ago he did an EEG, thought maybe I was having seizures in my brain, and also ordered an MRI which I will get the results of tomorrow (Monday).  Oh, I do hope its good news...I sure could use it!  We all can!

I think regrowth is something we all fear.  I pray that your MRI is negative .... and furthermore that you find relief from your troubling symptoms!

Mlouise073,

I'm praying that your MRI shows nothing serious, including NO REGROWTH!  You are 2 years post op already, did you have an MRI at 1 year?  If so, was it completely clear?

I hope your symptoms turn out to be related to something simple and easily treated.

Hi, Mary ~

I wanted to welcome you again -  but also express my regret that you're having AN-like symptoms and are, naturally, concerned.  A re-growth rapid and large enough to generate the type and severity of symptoms you describe would be relatively rare - but not out of the range of possibility. Of course, the upcoming MRI scan should answer your question definitely.  I join many others in praying that it renders good news.  Please let us know - either way.  Thanks.  :)
