And the winner is...
« on: June 24, 2009, 03:07:41 pm »
GK - I'm going in on Monday July 6 to get this thing zapped.

I will fess up that I did not believe all of the people who said that there is some relief in making a choice and setting a date, but I am now converted.  I feel much better than I did a week ago. Now that I can plan for it, work out the care for my kids and my own r&r, I feel like I have a little more control.

Many thanks for the posts, encouragement and information that helped me get to this decision.
Beth

Thanks to you both.  I'm going to have it done at Hoag (in Newport Beach, CA) by Dr. Chris Duma.  I do feel a little crazy for being excited to get it done, everything about this has been crazy so why stop now?!

Hi Beth,
I'm happy that you made a decision you are "excited" about. I felt the same way ;D.  July 6 is coming fast, that's great that you don't have to wait too long.

Best of Luck,

Beth ~

I have to add my congratulations on your reaching a decision on treatment and having a firm date set.  I'm pleased to learn that you now understand why reaching this point is a relief.   :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
