Nerve Block

I am heading up to Dartmouth today to recieve nerve block injection from headache specialist/neaurologist Dr.Ward.
I will keep you guys posted on my hopeful success storey.

i am baack.I would like to say it awas quick n painless but i was scared #$#@%%.It hurt when he put the shot in,about an inch to the left of my surgery scar.
He said he did not put steroids in the injection it was an occipital nerve block,ladicain?
He also gave me a perscrip. patch ladicain also for ny lower back which i injured in a slip down a slope at the beach sunday.
Time will tell...he said if it works it may last about 5 weeks.Then i can come see him again....i dunno...i now have a $418.00
spend down on my medical.This could be costly....but he also told me to contact financial assistance at Dartmouth.He said it should not be a hardship to get your treatment.
I told him i had come here for info &got lots.Thanks Everybody.

Has your nerve block taken away any pain?

i do belive some has subsided its hard to tell right now becouse i also threw out my lower back.I am having pain in the lower area.
My head still feels heavy.he said it could take a couple days to kick.
