HELP with website
« on: November 28, 2009, 04:55:08 pm »
Can anyone help me?   I've all of a sudden get an error/warning every time I try to switch between thingsl.  I don't know how to get rid of it.

It says on top SECURITY WARNING:
Then below:     Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securley.      This website contains content that will not be delivered using a secure Https connection, which could compromise security of the entire page.

Then on bottom three squares.....MORE....YES.....NO.

If I hit yes it doesn't show the avatar pictures, but it does if I hit no.   I looked under MORE, but don't get it.

Sorry, it just won't stop and hoped someone could help me

THANKS

That message suggests that you are using a URL that looks like this:

https://anausa.org/forum

instead of like this:

http://anausa.org/forum

The s near the beginning, https, means you are trying to use secured HTTP to browse the site. As far as I know, this is not really supported by the discussion forum software. It appears to work as far as getting the main page, but any page containing pictures or links to other web sites will cause the message you describe to pop up.

I would delete your bookmark, then go  to http://anausa.org/forum, then create a new bookmark. There is not much point in using a secure connection if most of the pages are not secured.

Hey Steve, Thanks

I don't know what was going on, so I ended up turning it off and walking away for awhile.   When I came back and turned it on it works fine again.

I did check my favorites setting and it doesn't have the   s    in it.

Hmmmmm?

Maybe it's just because I've been so addicted to this forum and my laptop wanted a break  ;D

Thanks again though!!!!!!!!!!!
