From what I've been told, these options are GREAT in noisy places but they're decent.

I think Brian meant to say that the BAHA isn't great in noisy places, but it's decent.

However, there are two new BAHA devices/processors (aka tiny hearing aids) that have improved functionality in noisy and/or crowded places - something to do with new programming technology.

I absolutely adore my BAHA - I currently have a Divino - but next Monday will be demo'ing both the new BP100 from Cochlear and the Ponto Pro from Octicon to see how they compare.

I would rank my BAHA an 8 or a 9 - not a 4.

Here are some links that might help you

I have lots of posts on the forum about BAHAs - just search on BAHA - but if you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask.  If you don't want to post them in the open forum, please feel free to PM me.

Best,

Jan

Hi Folks,

It's been a while since i logged on to this forum. Actually i was sick and tired with the mastoidectomy tymp surgery to my right ear and BAHA on the other side.
Today i had my regular weekly checkup and everything looks fine. BAHA has almost healed and it's quite comfortable now. Nowmally it takes abot 2 weeks it seems for a European skin but since Asians skins are pretty think, it takes 4 weeks for abutment to heal up. So, some race issue involved there :)
So, i thought i'll keep you all posted.

Thanks
Shashank
