I know at least one person here in NC that went to Dr. Steiner to treat a regrowing AN after surgery, and he was quite pleased. GM (Gary) was also treated by Dr. Steiner at UVA with GK. You can send GM private email and I'm sure Gary will respond. As you said, UVA and Pittburgh have the two best GK centers on the East Coast, and perhaps the US. Both of these centers have been involved in GK treatment research from early on in the development of GK treatment.
You will find several references to Dr. Steiner on this forum. Click on ANA DISCUSSION FORUM above (to go to the top of the tree structure). Then perform a search for steiner, and you'll see several threads, you can click on them to see more.
There have also been several threads about the myth about the appropriateness of GK treatment due to a person's age. GK has been around since the 1980's, and malignancy rates for people undergoing GK treatment have not been any different than the rate for the general population.
