You know what, if this keeps up we can call this thread "White Valentine's Day" and "White Easter" and "White Memorial Day", etc.  More snow today here.  The kids are delighted with another snow day ..... so soon after Christmas vacation!

Soundy, I would gladly send you the central Iowa snow and even our cold too.    It is up to -11 now.     Des Moines had 27" snow in Dec and came very close to breaking the record.             We are due for another snow tomorrow and wind Thurs.     Plus I know there are some here who have far worse than us so I am very grateful we are not worse off.        I am a wimp anymore in winter!      And yes it will be off to the grocery store later today.                               Cheryl R

We are in the middle of the US and are not the coldest area.       The northern states are and it was -26 on the Minnesota and Canada border.      I only know this a news show had their weather guy up there yesterday.                   We were -22 several days ago but that was about a record for us.          Some of the Canadian people here get much colder and more snow and are the ones who have learned to really survive.             Right now much of the whole US is having a cold spell which is not usual.
In a few months then we will have summer and hot weather again!                     Cheryl R

Must be that global warming thing but backwards!
Here in Seattle is one of the few places where temps are above normal.
Not even a flake of snow, yet, just rain, rain, rain.

Thanks Cheryl & Maureen. We are also having unusually hot weather. Just before christmas we had around 45 degrees with high humidity. A bit too warm.

Hey Chris.. that's in Celcius, right? :)  VERY hot... .in Farenheit, that is reasonably cool :)  But, for us here in NE USA.. that is beach weather!  ;D

Stay cool!

Hi Phyl. Yes, that is in celcius and yes it is very hot  ;D Probably as hard for you to imagine the heat, if you haven't experienced it, as it is hard for me to imagine the cold. My aunt in England just sent me photos of the snow over there. She has her car parked out in it. Looked beautiful though.
