Batteries for the BP100 ??
« on: March 21, 2010, 11:38:24 am »
Question for those of you who wear the BP100.

Does it take the same batteries as the Divino? - conventional hearing aid batteries; color orange; size 13, I believe.

I've been reading some posts on the Forum that make it sound like I need to purchase batteries specifically from my audiologist's office and that's not what I've ever done with my Divino.

I usually just purchase Duracell batteries at Walmart, Sam's Club, Walgreens, etc., and while I know you can buy batteries online from "specialty" hearing aid sites, I have never done so and I've never had a problem.

Will this be an issue with the BP100?

Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

They are size 13, and I'm pretty sure there's no difference between the ones from the audiologist and the drugstore.

Jan,

Maybe your audiologist posted that you needed to buy the batteries from him!   :D

Lori -

you are SO wicked  :D ;D  And, yes it's nice to have found someone just like me!

Actually my audiologist is a woman.

Thanks for the responses hearn and sefra.  Sounds like I don't need to change my purchasing habits.

It's also good to know the batteries are the same because they're still the ones that Lori and I are sending out in our Official BAHA Recovery Kits.  We haven't gotten any complaints yet, but when you ply people with chocolate they sometimes are hesitant to protest  ;)

Jan & Lori ..... the baha folks that respond to you with bits of info on your "kits" are doing a dis-service to those that like surprises (e.g. moi).

But I do have one question..... is it dark?  :P

(no, not the batteries !!!!!!!!!)
1.5 cm AN retrosig 11/04.
Drs. Henry Brem & Michael Holliday @ Johns Hopkins, Baltimore
SSD right. Tinnitus big-time, only when thinking of it.
BAHA since 7/20/10 ... really helps w/ hearing, specially after programming in subliminal message: "Hey, don't listen to your tinnitus!"

Grega -

it generally isn't dark, but in your case it could be if that's your preference.

And if you provide me your mailing address, that is.  Still awaiting your PM.
