Jen, I have question. How is it that you had regrowth? Didn't they remove your nerve that the AN was on?
05 - Cholesteatoma removed (2 surgeries)
03/07 - Diagnosed 3mm AN
06/07 - Middle Cranial Fossa approach to remove (failed extraction)
03/10 - MRI showed growth to 7mm
06/10 - June 9th surgery on the way

Hi,
No they didn't take the nerve the first time.  I had the retro sigmoid which tries to preserve hearing so they don't sever the auditory nerve.  Second surgery, I had Translab which they take the nerve out.
5/01  1.3 AN removed at NYU using Retrosig. Approach
2/07  Rediagnosed with Regrowth 8 mm (wait & watch mode)
1/09  1.4 AN removed at NYU using Translab (total tumor removal)
