Danielle ~

Thoughts and prayers are with you tomorrow.  We wish you good luck, too.  :)

Good luck tomorrow.  The worst is already over with your planning appointment.  Those 6 weeks went by quickly for me.

Looking forward to your updates.

Good luck to you.   Please keep us posted.  I finished 30 treatments of "FSR" in July 2010 and I am doing well.   I had a repeat MRI three months after  my last treatment and the report was that it had decreased slightly.    I will have another MRI next July.
My husband and I were just talking about the "New Proton treatment" just tonight.   We are from Minnesota and our paper just had an article that we will be getting one soon.
Let us know how it goes.   My tumor was 2.7CM  --- how about yours??
             Good luck again ---

I love Steve's reference!!!

Good luck, Danielle.  Those 6 weeks do go by fast - they did for me.
And you'll have a new "family" of techs too!  Funny how one bonds with their medical team!

... and to think, the rays won't exit the other side of your brain/head, but will stop at the tumor.
I like Proton Beam for this alone. Other radiation txs have x-rays or gamma rays which pass through the full head.

hi all. treatment 1 is officially on the  books! it was extremely uncomfortable,I have to say. I don't like being bolted down, and I did have a headache after, which I think was from the straps being so tight. all in all I'm glad to be started!

I'm glad you've begun the count down.  Your posts are also helpful to me as I consider proton versus cyberknife. Maybe you need a calendar with a piece of good chocolate for each day!   ;D  I'm thinking of you.
AN 1.4 cm x 1.7 cm x 1.0 cm
fair amount of hearing loss right ear
diagnosed 7/29/10

I'm a fun and reasonable RN, now living far from appropriate medical care. Feeling overwhelmed!
