9 month MRI tuesday-follow from translab surgery
« on: January 16, 2011, 10:25:30 pm »
Hello,
So sorry I haven't been on here recently, very busy the last few months with the holidays.  My surgery was in April and my 9 month MRI is Tuesday the 18th.  I hate the MRI's but want the MRI to see where I stand.  Here's to hoping it comes back clean.  A little was left in to preserve the face.
I've been having a lot of neck pain and headaches lately, also I've noticed I seem to be slurring my words and sometimes just forgetting what I want to say.  I will for sure be asking the doctor some questions.  I also have the metallic taste or burnt tongue feeling back.  I haven't had it for about two months and now it's back even worse.  i hope nothing has grown back or that nothing was damaged.  I see the neurosurgeon after the MRI.
Wish me luck and I will keep everyone posted.
My gotcha day is scheduled for the 24th of this month.  Can't wait.

Hi, Susan ~

Post-op issues sometimes surface but are often temporary.  However, the MRI should give you and your doctor the information you need.  I wish you nothing but good news tomorrow!  :)

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Thanks everyone for the wishes.  I will try and post the results tomorrow after work.  I'm starting to get anxious, I don't know why I get so worked up over the MRI's.  You would think they wouldn't bother me much after having three already.
