I skipped the meds...my doc mentioned that they can cause the same symptoms they are trying to help. Here are a few non-medical things that helped me.
Sea-Bands-for nausea (sold at the drug store) -people use these for motion sickness, instructions in the box. They work off acupressure points on the wrists. I wore them for days at a time and then world take them off if they bothered me- then used them again.
Ginger-for nausea. Skip gingerale (too sweet and no real ginger)...use fresh ginger in foods (lots), they have great herbal ginger teas, natural ginger anything...and it tastes great.
For dizziness at night I used the old drunk remedy...one hand on the wall and a foot on the floor- it stops the world from making laps around you.
And lastly...and my favorite- Acupuncture. Many insurance plans cover up to 12 visits a year, enough to know what you think. Remember acupuncturists are like doctors- there are good ones and mediocre. I chose one recommended by another acupuncturist...she is an Oriental Medical Doctor, acupuncturist and oddly enough used to be an ER doc in China...she is one of my most favorite people and a definite advocate for me when it comes to my health. It has really helped and I will skimp on other things in life to go.
Best wishes to you. I'm sorry you don't feel well and hopefully we can be as supportive and helpful as possible.
Cheers,
Rory
