3D Modeling and Printing of AN Progression after Gamma Knife

It has been quite some time since I have been on here, as things have been progressing well for me after Gamma Knife in Feb 2015 at NYU.

I just had my followup appointment on Monday, and the results are good - the tumor is shrinking 

I happen to have a passion for 3D printing and found a method to create a 3D model of my AN from my MRI images and print it out. I presented it to my Dr. and he was impressed.
He chased me down after I left to ask if I could build the models and print the AN's for him so he could see the progression. He feels that this will be the future in evaluating the progression of AN's.

My model is located here for viewing. The file can be downloaded and viewed in various free 3D viewers that will allow you to "move" the objects around. I like how you can see the actual volume of the AN and being able to put your hands on it puts things in perspective.

This is amazing.  I have access to a MakerBot at work.  What did you use to make your 3D model from the MRI?

I used this software:

Just Google it, you will find an article on instructables.com, and various YouTube videos.

Are you looking for a 3d model similar to what I have produced
But with the other structures In place?

The software I mentioned above does this with MRI's.
I ultimately edited the full model generated to pull out
Just the AN.

I could try and build a model that shows, AN, skull, and brain
To give you an idea of location, let me know if that would be helpful
And I will try to get to it in the next few weeks.

Some doctors are now using 3D modelling to estimate volume of the tumour to determine growth rather than the linear measurements.
