I want to thank all of you that recommended the Houes Ear Clinic,
Dr. Brackman is such a dear man, and he helped us so much.

I have a rare tumor of the fifth nerve, and most likely will have the
operation to remove it soon. Dr. Brackman and  Dr.Schwartz will do
the honors. If we leave it to grow I will have problems with the nerves
in my eye, so I will opt for the surgery.......

Thank's to all of you that brought the HEI to my attention, Dr. Brackman
is wonderful, I feel very safe with him.......

I agree, Dr. Brackman is great. I saw him two days ago. I too felt like I will be in the best hands. Initially, I thought I was going to use the Gamma Knife method but after talking to Dr. Brackman, I am going with Middle Fossa surgery. I am 44 years old with a 5mm by 8mm tumor. I want to preserve as much hearing as I can. I also think when it comes to facial nerve problems, I couldn't be in better hands than the experts at the House Ear Clinic. Dr. Brackman said he would call me this week to discuss what I wanted to do. How many doctors do you know that would call you at home? I have United Healthcare and it covers the doctors at HEI. But, I would still go there, knowing that my skull will be cut by experts! If you can't get to the HEI, try to find a doctor who has performed many AN operations and is well versed on the topic. My first neurologist was not knowledgeble and wanted to cut my hearing nerve even though I have 75% hearing! Get a second or third opinion.
