Hi, tropicili ~
Apparently you've been diagnosed with a 9 mm meningioma, which is similar to an acoustic neuroma. You will definitely want to consult with a specialist about this and get a handle on how to proceed. Like ANs, depending on their exact location and configuration, meningiomas can be surgically removed and/or radiated. You may have other options available to alleviate your headaches but, again, this requires the advice of a medical professional. He or she may want to observe the tumor for signs of growth ('watch-and-wait') or take action immediately.
We're not doctors but we all have personal experience with ANs (and meningiomas) and we endeavor to supply patients with information and support. Please update us when you've been able to consult with a physician and get some professional feedback on your situation. Thanks.
