Good News from MRI appt and then....
« on: July 16, 2012, 04:00:01 pm »
I wasn't even done basking in the sun with my all clear results when the next day I was driving I had heart palpitations, blacked out and hearing went.  Luckily my dad was there and grabbed the wheel.  The whole episode only lasted a few seconds but was scary as hell.
Needless to say, I have a cardiologist appt. tomorrow evening.
Could this be the result of all the anxiety I was having? I've been through a lot of stress the last six months?

Jen ~

I won't attempt to 'play doctor' here but I suspect that your stress over the recent MRI could be a factor that brought on this scary episode.

Seeing a cardiologist as soon as possible is a prudent course of action.  I hope nothing is found and this is simply a result of your recent high anxiety.  Please let us know.  Thanks.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Jen,

Wow, what a  blessing that your dad was there to help you.  Glad you didn't wreck and your okay.  It's good your seeing a cardiologist and they can give you some answers.  I know stress can play a big part  too.

You might want to ask about a tilt table test for neurocardiogenic syncope.
Good luck with your appt.  and I hope it's nothing serious.

Take care =)

Oh wow...that is like the absolutely worse time to black out for sure! It was indeed a good thing your father was there. I'm following this so I can hear what the outcome was! Take care!

You have been through a lot and your questions can only be answered after ruling out medical reasons.
