treatment of AN cyst after radiosurgery

Have any of you had a cyst in the AN tumor and how was that managed?

Hi Elijah - Yes, I had a cyst.  A little over 5 years ago, I had surgery (posterior fossa) to "debulk" the cyst and then 6 weeks later I had Gamma Knife.  At the time, I think my dr. said that was a  new way of dealing with that type of situation.  Without the cyst I probably would have had just Gamma Knife since the tumor itself was just under 3 cm, but the cyst needed to be surgically removed as it was much bigger.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.  I'm not sure if that is still the recommended way of dealing with a cyst  - I think in the medical world, things can change a lot in five years.
