Liz .....

Sorry I did not answer your question sooner .....  I was gone to Oticon Medical for their Patient Advocacy week-end and out of easy Internet access.

After my first surgery I had much frustration with double vision and inability to hold my gaze on anything, without my vision jumping around (aka nystagmus).  It took a number of weeks before I felt I could hold my gaze sufficiently after turning my head (as needed for driving and checking traffic lanes).  I worked hard on gaze stabilization exercises to be able to resume driving safely.  I would be happy to send my exercises to you if you send me a PM with your email.

Hope that makes sense.

Karen, I'd trade our mild winters for your mild summers!

Clarice, I'd love to see your gaze stabilization exercises.  I wonder how similar they are to the ones Dr. Slattery gave me.  I will PM you my email.  I also want to hear more about your BAHA.  I think I want to go with Oticon and need to find a local or semi-local practitioner, so that I don't have to fly out to LA again.  What do you know about the angled abutment and feedback?

Thanks,
Liz
