The tumor does not have to shrink for it to be a success.  If it stops growing and behaves...so be it!
It is possible to lose more hearing from the radiation treatment itself...it doesn't necessarilly mean that the tumor is growing again.  My doc told me I could still lose my hearing up to 5 years post treatment from GK...so far so good.  You may just be experiencing "AN" issues like the rest of us...temporary hearing distortion, strange sounds, increased tinnitus...so hang in there.   

As for the drooling and facial weakness...maybe someone else can chime in on that.
