I have pretty much decided to give the CROS a try.  A friend told me about a program the State of Texas has that assist with medical devices or vocational retraining if it keeps a person employable, this includes hearing devices!  They have set me up with an appointment this Friday.

I'm going to a different doctor than my attending doctor on the AN, he was not encouraging at all about the CROS over the BAHA.   He didn't even mention the CROS by name.   He may be right, but I am determined to find out.

Of course, everyone's situation is different, I see there are forum members with good experiences from both devices.   I will post how it goes.

Hello,  I am new to the group and have a question?   Did anyone recommended the Soundbite System?   Have any of you had an experience with it?

Hi, Trisha ~

Just type 'soundbite' into the search box (above, left)  and it will take you the many posts that discuss this hearing device.

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

As Jim mentioned, there are lots of posts if you search.  One really long post comes to mind.  It was started by Gloria who actually was one of the first people to test the Sound Bite.

Here it is http://www.anausa.org/smf/index.php?topic=10753.0

Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

Thank you Jan,  I read that post sometime ago,  I was really looking for anything newer,  experiences and such on the Soundbite.  I was looking into it as apposed to the BAHA,  my doctor has mention both to me.  Thanks Trisha
