Not a newbie. But still scared
« on: March 06, 2017, 01:33:45 pm »
Well.  Preop tomorrow at Vanderbilt. Surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday March 14th with Doctors Haynes and Thompson. I have every confidence that I am in good hands.  After failed FSR (2000) and considerable growth since 2014 MRI, waiting,  or more radiation are not an option.  I'm sure I will be returning to this site in a while to discuss with all of you,  these symptoms that I'm already experiencing. Eye issues, facial issues, swallowing problems, and the worst, walking in counterclockwise circles( Takes forever to get anywhere). Wish the best for all of you. If you pray, say one for me.

Welcome,,
Good luck with pre op tomorrow ,, you are going to a great facility with experienced doctors  and I am sure will have a successful surgery.

I hope recovery is smooth and that most of your symptoms will go away afterwards. Walking in circles is a new one to me  :o,,,, must be terribly frustrating!! Maybe that will stop!!

Prays and hugs to you for next week too.
Peace,,

Preop went smoothly. Hospital staff were very nice and efficient. Driving up to North Atlanta to visit with some family then on to Nashville on Sunday. Looking forward to having this thing out of my head. For me, the worst side effect of the tumor, is the difficulty swallowing. Have lost about 10 lbs.since that started.  The lost weight is not a problem. Just don't want it to get out of hand. Best wishes to all. Talk to you after surgery.
