I would like to browse the forum by pushing the back button, but since the message board takes up my whole page, I can't access the back button.  Is there any way I can change my settings to fix this?  It drives me NUTS!

That shouldn't be happening. The back button or arrow should be visible even when your browser window is maximized to fill your monitor screen.

Do you have the same problem on other websites?

What browser are you using?

Hi;
   Using IE 8, when I go full page by hitting F11, the back/forward buttons disappear also.

But isn't the intent of full-screen browsing? No tool bar available, no address bar. That is the behavior in Chrome and Firefox. However, in IE10 at least, I don't know about 8, if you take the cursor to the top of the screen, an abbreviated tool bar will drop down.

Hi Arizonajack;

   I followed Tod's suggestion with IE 8 and the tool bar did drop down as he indicated.
   I've no idea about IE 10 though. Maybe make sure you see the two small windows in the upper right corner before hitting F11?

Thanks, but I didn't have the issue. I didn't even know about F11 till today and tried it check it out.

I very rarely maximize my windows to full screen and when I do I use the maximize button and don't lose the toolbar.

I tend to keep my browser windows about a third or fourth of the size of my screen so I can do stuff in multiple windows without needing to put one down on the task bar or close it.

Like right now, the message list is still open so when I finish this post and close the window the message window is right there for me.

I have the problem both when I use Internet Explorer and Firefox.  There are no arrows at the top of the page, although I do see where in the forum I am, but that doesn't help if I have just done a search.  I then have to conduct the search all over again.

Very frustrating!

There are keyboard commands for navigation and many other tasks. Alt + Left Arrow moves you to the previous page that you visited. Here's a list of many commands: http://www.howtogeek.com/114518/47-keyboard-shortcuts-that-work-in-all-web-browsers/
