I had a MVD for nerve issues not associated with the facial nerve. I woke up in recovery with complete facial paralysis. I was told that air got into the facial nerve and was opened back up a 2nd time to make sure it wasnt a blood clot. about 5 weeks post op i started to regain movement. My face started healing at a rapid rate after that point and 2 months in i was getting ear fullness, sensitivity to hearing, and my ear flutters when i make facial movements. I went to an ENT a few months ago and was told i have no reflex in that ear. I am now 5 months post op. I was hoping to get input on those of you that have experienced fluttering with their ear associated with facial movements. I dont know if this is synkenisis or the nerve being irritated. Replies and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also I am a young adult.
