Pain
« on: October 24, 2014, 11:20:54 am »
A month and half ago on Sept 9th and 12th I had two surgeries, retro and trans, to remove a 4.9cm x 4cm AN. Also, I got MRSA in the incision so it still hasn't completely healed yet which maybe one reason it still hurts.

I was wondering, in general, how long did the pain last and how long did you have to stay on pain medication?

I only had one surgery (bless you for having two) and never took a pain pill.

Logically I figured that having brain surgery would leave me with a massive headache, but that never happened.  I had more discomfort from my neck - which was positioned "strangely" for my 7 1/2 hours of surgery - than I did from my head.  And even that, in my case, was minimal.  Didn't require pain meds.

Hope things get better for you soon.

Best,

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways
