Gamma knife following surgery.
« on: October 05, 2006, 08:05:48 am »
Following surgery on my AN in Nov 05, a small residue was left behind because further removal would risk damage to the facial nerve.  It is suggested that the residue is removed by the Gamma Knife.  Has anybody had GK treatment following surgery?  If so, could you please let me know whether or not it was successful and whether there have been any side effects.
Many thanks, Avril.
PS  I omitted to say that I am in the UK.

Avril,
There are some folks on this forum who have had GK after surgery.  Hopefully they will see your post and reply directly.  In the mean time, search for some of becknell's postings.   It would also help if we knew where you're located so people can let you know about experiences thay may have had with GK centers near you.
Regards,
 Rob
