Olympic Champion Lauren Holiday
« on: September 09, 2016, 09:53:03 pm »
I don't know exactly what kind of tumor Lauren Holiday has, but from various descriptions in the news, she appears to dealing with either an AN or something similar.  Prayers to her and her family for a quick and full recovery.  I'm partial to middies, my son and daughter are both middies, so we'd actually like to see her back on the pitch some day.

Diagnosed June 2014 1cm AN at 47 years of age.  Had fluctuating symptoms since 2006.    6 mos MRI (Dec 2014) showed no growth, MRI  in July 2015 showed no growth.  MRI Jan 2016 showed no growth.  MRI Aug 2016 showed no growth.  I'm gonna ride the WW train as long as I can.

I read the same article. Facial numbness, benign, sounds like it. But she sounds very strong. I too had mine a few weeks after having my baby and it surely complicates things but my baby made me be active and smile a lot so I couldn't be down (mentally and physically) for long.
