Chris Followup- Mom's perspective
« on: November 05, 2006, 09:54:00 am »
Hi all...

I've been busy but I need to thank you all for your response to Chris.  He did have the surgery last Monday and they kept him overnight.  We weren't expecting that because we thought it was to be outpatient.  I think they kept him because he had a drain and they wanted to observe.  His incision looks good but he was in alot of pain all week.  Even with pain meds, he seemed to have alot of pain.  He seems to be a little better now.  They used a very small portion of the hypoglossal nerve so he didn't have any tongue or speech problems.  That all looks real good.  Now we wait....
