Dizziness caused by noise and a couple other questions

I suspect this has been addressed, but the search terms I tried bring up many unrelated results. I am one month post op from my retrosigmoid craniotomy. Prior to the surgery, I had minor balance issues and an occasional feeling of instability and light headedness. I also had some hearing loss, headache, and minor cerebral issues. I wish I could go back to those symptoms. My dizziness is now really sensitive. Riding in a car is torture and things as small as a loud noise, scratching my head or even moving my eyes rapidly while closed makes me feel dizzy and nauseous. After reading several posts on this fantastic site, I didn't find anyone with such sensitivity and I wanted to know if anyone else had/has this and how long before it goes away if ever.

Also, the tinnitus in the deaf ear is pretty severe and the volume increases when the good ear hears anything. In other words, I get a sort of feedback sound of everything. Does this ever go away?

Is it possible to have a nerve graft to restore hearing after the nerve has been cut?

As far as I know, the nerve graft for hearing is not possible. 

I had lots of balance issues like you describe, but it slowly gets better.  I'm almost 5 months from surgery and I feel great, but still have some unsteadiness with certain head movements.  Have you seen a physical therapist?  If you can find a vestibular specialist, that could be helpful.  I found it to be so.

I'm surprised you still have balance issues with preserved hearing. So did you actually get dizzy just scratching your head?

Dizzy with quick head turns. There are four nerves in the 8th cranial nerve: two balance nerves a facial nerve and a hearing nerve. Balance nerves are gone. Acoustic nerve stays intact.

OK, thank you. I too get dizzy with any head turn unless done very slowly. I'm still curious if anyone is as sensitive to motion like chewing and head scratching like me.

I definitely was with anything that would jostle my head.  Chewing I definitely noticed.  for instance I couldn't chew and read at the same time for quite a while, because those subtle head movements threw me off.  I could see scratching doing the same thing.  It gets better!

Dizzy or an off feeling with head turns once it begins last several hours, if I eat during this period I get nauseated.
Sometimes i have it first thing in the morning and other days I will not get it.
I do not notice noise as a factor.
Depression is a problem especially since I am my husbands care giver.
Next MRI in June.
