I found Dr. Manuel Ferreiria's name here on this site. Called and he seem extremely nice.  Surgery is scheduled for Jan 23.  Anyone else here have him as their surgeon?  He is at Harbor View Medical Center.

Only Forum member I know who lives in Seattle is Barb (Barb909) - although there may be others here.

You may want to PM her and see what docs she's seen in your area.

I am a patient of Dr. Ferrera,  I had a 4.4 cm tumor that he removed and no facial paralysis or loss of hearing.   My hearing was at 50% before surgery and still the same after surgery.   Dr. Ferrera replied to any questions I had within 24 hours.   Not only is he personable and caring he is also a wonderful surgeon.  I am truly honored that I had him as "my surgeon"

He is my dr.  I was originally at Group health and did not like the dr.  A friend who was graduating from the UW recommended him and I changed insurance so I could see him.  I'm very glad I did.  He has a "round table" approach.  He met me then I met a Gamma knife guy, then Dr. Rubinstein the ENT surgeon.  After I went back and talked to him again (all in the same day).

He later pushed me to meet with the ENT again and a month later I have a BAHA post installed.  I'm still "Wait and See" but I've only had good reactions with him (after seeing doctors at GH and Virginia Mason).  Plus, UWMC/Harborview is pretty world renowned for medicine.
