Levo tinnitus system
« on: July 04, 2018, 05:03:19 pm »
I apologize if this subject was already discussed. On our Nightly NBC news, there was coverage on a relatively new system for tinnitus. It also was featured in a zveterans magazine since so many Vets suffer from tinnitus. Does anyone have any experience with this system? I have no other info. about it except for what is included in the website.

I saw this news report, as well.  It bears keeping in mind that any retraining of the brain involving an exterior hearing device is dependent upon having some hearing in that ear.  In other words, for single side totally deaf patients, it will not be useful for tinnitus on the deaf side.  That being said, if one's tinnitus is bilateral, then sound therapy can have a better chance of working.

Check out the American Tinnitus Association (https://www.ata.org/ for additional up to date information.
