Assessing surgeons experience
« on: August 05, 2018, 09:06:49 pm »
When asked how often my doctors perform AN removal, they both said they perform about 40-50 a year.  Is that a lot? Average? Or seldom?

I think it's over average if they've done about 900 cases in their career.  Do you mind to tell me what area are they in?

If they remove 40-50 a year (an approximate average of 3-4 per month) it seems to me that they have operated on significant number of ANs.  Not as many as a major center like House of course, but since ANs are relatively rare in the population, it appears that they do this surgery relatively frequently.
