Balance, vertigo, dizziness or ?
« on: May 21, 2020, 10:40:45 am »
Supposedly the learned ones say there is a distinct difference between vertigo and dizziness. They don’t accept our term, “Wonkey head”.  So what it the proper term for what we experience?

Greetings Gunns!

I too struggle with what is the difference.  I "asked the google" difference between off balance and dizzy.  Some interesting answers out there.

At this point in my journey, my eyes have trouble fixing on things as I move.  I have trouble when my head moves, the more rapid the movement, the more issues (running vs walking). I do not feel like the world is moving when I am not.  I do feel like I just got off the tilt-a-whirl when I move.

Listening to others on the board, I take a ginger capsule every day, and walk, walk, walk.  8,000-10,000 steps a day. As I move I try to keep my core engaged to prevent falling.  (I do run into walls in hallways sometimes or have trouble in tight spots).

Hopefully others have suggestions.  Good luck on finding your solution!
