Post-OP Sleepiness
« on: May 21, 2007, 01:08:59 pm »
I'm 5 weeks post op for AN and 1 week post op (1 1/2 hrs procedure) due to complications with infection in my incision.  I have been very sleepy for the past 4 days.  Do you veterans think this is "normal"?

Hi Linda:  Sleepiness? oh yes, you will get sleepy, especially I think if you went under anesthesia a 2nd time.  All this surgery wipes a body out !!!   I still get sleepy after about 5 hours of work, & I'm 11 months post op !!   Rest when you need it, it's only a little over a month for you.  I recently started Pilates to boost the energy level.

Oh yeah, I was sleepy for a very long time.  I didn't want to go back to work because I would not
be able to take my daily nap!!  Kathy
