Hi,
I am looking into the transear.
If you have it can you pls list 3 things you like about it and 3
"challenges?"
Did it live up to your expectations?

My audiologist was very vague when I called.  I got the feeling that they don't want to offer something that would compete with the baha sales.  I could be wrong on that statement.

Mary, there are two or three threads on this site addressing TransEar. Go to the search bar on the first page and type in TransEar and you should find lots of information.  One or two of the topics were started by me "Boppie".

You are probably speaking to an audiologist who has not sold a TransEar and knows little about it.  The challenges are in getting an audiologist to learn about TransEar.  The aid works very well for me. 

Folks in the UK aren't able to get TransEar there, yet.

TransEar does not require surgery.  You take it out of the ear and put it in each day.
Only one unit needs to be worn, not two like the Cros.
It costs a lot less than a BAHA.

No challenges for me.
